Acenac tablets belong to the category of medicines known as Non- steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs. It provides relief from all kinds of pain and inflammation. It is most preferably prescribed to patients suffering from osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis. Rheumatoid arthritis is quite a painful condition. In this condition, the immune system attacks the cells of the body itself and causes pain and inflammation in the joints. The generic name of this medicine is Aceclofenac.

How does it work?

Acenac tablet works by blocking the activity of an enzyme known as cyclooxygenase and produces another enzyme, known as prostaglandins. Blocking the activity of COX is necessary to produce higher PGs, which are responsible for reducing pain or inflammation and also decreases the stiffness of joints.

Uses of Acenac Tablet

Following are some of the uses of the acenac tablet

It is used to provide relief from the pain caused by osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis.
It is also prescribed to patients suffering from Ankylosing spondylitis.
It helps to reduce pain and inflammation caused by arthritis.
It provides relief from back pain, pain in the ear or throat.
It also provides relief from toothache.

Dosage

Doctor will prescribe the medicine according to the severity of the situation. Take the medication accordingly.
In case of overdosage, seek medical assistance immediately to avoid any fatal consequences.
In case of a missed dosage, take medicine as soon as you remember it.
Take the next dosage with a gap of at least 6 hours.

This medication is not considered safe for children under the age of 18 years.
