It is used to treat Iron deficiency anemia and Macrocytic anemia.

Contraindicated in Hemochromatosis, Hemolytic anemia, Inflammatory bowl disease, Sidero-achrestic anemia, Thalassemia, Hypersensitivity to iron. Discontinue if symptoms of intolerance appear.
Dizziness, Nausea, Stomach upset, Constipation, Sweating, Taste disturbance, Sense of repletion, Black colored faeces, Tooth discoloration, Joint and muscle pain may occur.
