It is used for mucosal protection, healing of gastroduodenal ulcers, and treatment of gastritis.

Precautions

Before using this medication, tell your doctor or pharmacist your medical history. The drug may also be excreted in human milk, causing health complications in infants. Consult your doctore before breast-feeding. Please consult your doctor when taking this medicine if you are pregnant. Clopidogrel, gemfibrozil, trimethoprim, azole antifungals (such as itraconazole), macrolide antibiotics (such as erythromycin), rifamycins (such as rifabutin), St. John's wort, among others and insulin.

Side Effects

Dizziness, fatigue, nausea, dryness of the mouth and feeling dehydrated, menstrual cycle disruption, constipation or diarrhoea, skin rashes and sometimes vomiting as well.
