The class of medications called skeletal relaxants includes Tizanidine. It takes time to subdue neural and muscular activity and allows the muscles to relax.

Uses

You can use this medication to help treat muscle spasms due to any of the following conditions: (such as multiple sclerosis, spinal cord injury). It relaxes the muscles

Dosage

  • Adolescents between the ages of 6 and 12 years old should take 600 to 750 mg of supplemental magnesium after each loose bowel movement and no more than 4.5 grams per day.
  • Children 3 to 6 years of age can receive up to 7 doses (300 mg each) of a probiotic supplement (supplemented bm every day) up to a total of 2.1 grams (7 doses) per day.
  • Adults and adolescents 12 years and older may take up to 8.4 grams per day, with dosages ranging from 1.2 to 1.5 grams per dose.

This medication is used to treat muscle spasms.

Storage

Do not freeze so the drug would be too dense to be poured. When it gets frozen, heat until it is glossy again at room temperature
